Started in the last half of 2016 Little Miss Gem Travels is the passion project of Gemma Goodman, who at the age of thirty was finally bitten by the travel bug. With no previous experience of blogging, SEO, marketing or social media, she has learnt everything about building a blog from step-by-step research and trial and error, all of this alongside a full time job.
As well as exploring the world Little Miss Gem Travels also shows UK readers what can be found on their own doorsteps, with ideas for day trips and weekend getaways.
The ultimate aim is show, encourage and inspire anyone and everyone that travel doesn’t have to be about big budgets, huge suitcases and months away from home…small steps make a big difference.

About me
I am a UK based, 32 year old, part time blogger.
Working full time means that I can be limited to how often I can travel and how much I have to budget, this simply means that I have to make the most of the time I have available.
Wherever I go, and for whatever the duration my ultimate goal is to travel without scrimping on style and enjoyment.
Another thing of great importance is to use, visit, and promote local independent businesses, accommodations, and restaurants.
I don’t drive. I never have. So one of my favourite things is to put on a pair of comfy shoes and walk my way around a place. I also love the challenge of discovering the local public transport.
