Covéa Insurance is pleased to announce it has secured a partnership with FirstVet, a tech startup providing pet-owners with on-demand video consultations with local, qualified veterinarians.
After extremely positive customer feedback following a successful trial earlier in the year, Covéa Insurance’s pet insurance customers will now permanently have access to free video vet appointments via their mobile devices, enabling them to receive expert advice while they and their pets are in the comfort of their own home.
With the COVID-19 restrictions, this service has proved invaluable to customers and will continue to provide increased safety as well as convenience.
Once a customer has downloaded the FirstVet app (available on iOS and Android) and set up an account, they can make use of the use of the video appointment service as often as required, gaining access to the 60+ UK veterinarians on the FirstVet platform.
Speaking about the partnership, Head of Insurtech & Fintech at Covéa Insurance, Tracey Smith comments: “We’re really excited about our partnership with FirstVet. As well as being a great customer service enhancement, it also signifies our capability and desire to partner with tech start-ups, where we’re seeing increasing growth opportunities. We look forward to working together to continue to innovate for our pet partners and customers.”
David Prien, FirstVet CEO & co-founder, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Covéa Insurance. Through this partnership we can help more pet owners receive the remote care they need for their pets. This is especially important during the current pandemic and a convenience we believe customers will continue to want well beyond too.”
