Dr Stuart Madnick (centre), owner of Langley Castle and Baron of Langley since 2007, when he reunited the castle with a title stripped away by the Crown in the mid-18th Century as punishment for its owners' Jacobite sympathies. The picture was taken at a medieval re-enactment event to celebrate the first Northumberland Day in 2017. Dr Madnick, as the owner of the English castle, championed the creation of an official county day for Northumberland - a northern county situated on the border between England and Scotland.
