Launched: 2024. Why visit: A new Emirati culture centre. This Emirati-owned cultural hub opened its doors in April, fast becoming the place to go for a rich cultural immersion into Arabic history, arts and culture. An independent bookstore-meets-cultural-centre, it creates a community and space for cultural exchange and creative expression, celebrating the accomplishments of Khaleeji authors, poets and scholars through workshops, lectures, readings and guided conversations. There’s also a kids’ playroom and workshop area, and a new coffee shop. Don’t miss Dr. Rana AlMutawa’s Everyday Life in the Spectacular City urban ethnography photo exhibition on Dubai, which runs until Thursday July 4.
