The portrayal of women, be it in domestic, social ornatural settings, is the main theme of this new show at Kutubna Cultural Center, displaying 35 artworks (including paintings and works on paper) by artists, including Najat Makki, Adham Wanly and Louay Kayali, hailing from the UAE, Syria, Egypt and Iraq.
The show "offers a rare and powerful perspective on how Arab women have been depicted through decades of modern and contemporary art. The display features revealing stories of strength, beauty, resilience, and cultural transformation outlined by renowned regional artists,” reads a statement published by Kutubna.@kutubnadubai
