Dolce&Gabbana celebrates the relaunch of The One with a bold campaign by Mert Alas, featuring Madonna, an icon who has captivated audiences across at least four generations, and actor Alberto Guerra.
It is night, and the city is suspended in time. Outside, the rain is pouring down and the atmosphere is charged with mystery, intrigue and secret passions. Inside, settings, symbols and colours intersect with the atmosphere of 1970s neorealist cinema.
At the centre of the scene stands Madonna: a strong, confident and determined woman who guides the visual narrative by asserting her unique personality.
She rewrites the rules of seduction, breaks stereotypes and reverses roles. She transforms her sensuality into a weapon and holds the reins of this game of stolen kisses, whispered words and magnetic glances.
Intimate moments and undeniable attraction capture the power of an overwhelming love story. Jealousy, desire and fun: the tension is palpable and the emotions follow one another in a crescendo that culminates in a passionate kiss, sealing the union between the two protagonists.
Madonna delivers a powerful rendition of “La Bambola” by Patty Pravo, an Italian artist who is a symbol of freedom and emancipation. Recorded exclusively for the campaign and sung in Italian, the song serves as the perfect backdrop for the campaign’s visuals, amplifying the themes of audacity and self-affirmation that lie at the heart of the narrative.
