Tanguy Choupin

Dr Tanguy Choupin is Technical Manager at Expliseat, where he leads the company’s technological diversification from aerospace into ground transportation. With a PhD in Mechanics and Materials and more than ten years of experience across the aerospace and railway industries—including roles at Airbus, Hexcel and SNCF—he specialises in structural lightweighting, advanced composites and industrial innovation. At Expliseat, he leads a multidisciplinary engineering team covering design, numerical simulation, materials and manufacturing processes. His work focuses on developing high-performance, commercially viable solutions that combine weight reduction, durability, safety, cost efficiency and industrial scalability. His expertise spans advanced composite design, automated manufacturing technologies, multi-material assembly, design-to-cost and the transfer of proven aerospace technologies to new mobility applications.
