Wood Jasmin

BDK Parfums is an independent designer perfume house launched in 2016 by the French designer, David Benedek, who is one of the youngest designer’s in the perfume industry worldwide. Based in the Palais Royal district in Paris, its olfactory creations propose singular and quality fragrances. Its olfactory library is inspired by traits of character, movements, persona, art and raw materials. Composed of three different collections:

These creations all have a common universe centered on words and tales, halfway between fantasy and reality. Here, we are in the presence of conscientious artisan work enabling the creation of exceptional fragrances.

From the beginning, the idea was to work around one particular raw material in order to give it life but also directly tie it to an inspiration. This initial idea then became the main driver in shaping the olfactory family that characterized each perfume from BDK Parfums. All concentrates used are formed in the region of Grasse in France.

“ The original idea was to create a perfume with oriental nuances, with loads of vanilla, an addictive side given by fruity and full notes like dhavanam. The voyage in the East is represented by the effect of the Somalian incense and myrrh which denote mystic. When you wear this fragrance, you feel a bit like a Prince or a Princess of the East in a beautiful and sumptuous palace. The absolutes of Egyptian jasmine and Turkish rose are in tribute to the oriental characteristics of that part of the world. Notes of tobacco and liqueur essentially come from the dhavanam and cypriol nagarmotha which give a retro feel.” Camille Leguay, Perfumer Cinquième Sens
