Specialist home and garden PR agency, Honest Communications, has been appointed by SBM Life Science to provide PR and influencer marketing support for two of its most recognisable heritage brands – Baby Bio® and Maxicrop®.

Following a successful campaign relaunching Maxicrop® to the UK market last season, the agency will pick up ongoing activity and continue to build momentum for the much-loved seaweed-based brand. It aims to engage both loyal customers and reach the next generation of gardeners by shining a spotlight on its heritage, sustainability credentials, and benefits for plants and gardens.

The nation’s favourite houseplant food brand, Baby Bio®, also returns to the Honest Communications portfolio with a refocused consumer PR and influencer strategy. Activity will showcase its extensive range of houseplant feeds and care products, including the iconic Baby Bio® Houseplant Food and recently launched Baby Bio® Organic Houseplant Food.

Holly Daulby, Managing Director of Honest Communications, said:

“We’re delighted to be working with SBM on a retained basis, having worked with the team on a variety of projects for several of its brands over the past four years.

“Maxicrop® and Baby Bio® are iconic household names with fantastic stories to tell, and we’re excited to use our sector expertise to help them connect with today’s audiences through engaging campaigns, creative content, and authentic influencer collaborations.”

Angharad James, Brand Manager for SBM Life Science, added: “We’re thrilled to be working with Honest again for the upcoming 2026 season. Having partnered with Holly, Beth, and the team for a number of years, it’s fantastic to be continuing our collaboration.

“Honest Communications are not only knowledgeable experts in PR and communications, they are also well connected within the garden care industry - and always a pleasure to work with. We’re excited to see what the next 12 months will bring together.”

The new partnership comes as Honest Communications was recently named CIPR Specialist PR Consultancy of the Year, recognising its extensive sector expertise and commitment to delivering impactful results.

It also builds on a busy year for the agency, which has seen the team support the launch of The King’s Rose with David Austin Roses at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, deliver the second Henchman Topiary Awards campaign, and welcome leading brushware and outdoor furniture brand Charles Bentley to its client base.

Maxicrop® and Baby Bio® join Honest Communications’ expanding portfolio, which also includes leading brands like elho, Hillier Garden Centres, Wilkinson Sword Garden Tools, Town & Country, WOLF-Garten, Seedball and Cobra.
