TEAM Energy is proud to announce its appearance in a new television programme ‘UK Businesses and the Transition to Net Zero’, which highlights organisations at the forefront of sustainability, the net zero transition and responsible energy management.
The episode features TEAM Energy’s Tim Holman, Head of Consultancy, and Tom Anderton, Commercial Director, who share their expert insights on some of the most pressing challenges facing UK organisations today. Their interview explores the increasing importance of effective energy management, the shifting regulatory landscape, and the practical steps businesses can take to reduce emissions and build more resilient, sustainable operations.
Speaking on the programme, Tim Holman emphasised how crucial data has become in driving organisational change, “Energy management is no longer just about monitoring consumption. It’s about using data to make informed decisions that reduce cost, improve performance, and support wider sustainability goals. Most organisations already have the information they need, but aren’t yet using that data in a way that is delivering against their business goals.”
Tom Anderton highlighted the accelerating shift in expectations around environmental reporting, “The regulatory landscape is evolving quickly, and organisations need clarity on what compliance looks like both now and in the years to come. As we move towards Net Zero 2050, there is no doubt that we are going to see more compliance, and tighter regulations that businesses will need to meet, so there is an imperative to be prepared for those changes by building a complete sustainability reporting framework. The most important thing you can do now is to put the right data foundations in place to ensure it is structured, consistent and audit‑ready.”
TEAM’s appearance on ‘UK Businesses and the Transition to Net Zero’ comes at a pivotal time for the business, as it expands its suite of solutions to help organisations strengthen their sustainability and emissions reporting.
This includes the introduction of its enhanced Carbon Reporting Software, developed to streamline emissions capture and automate complex energy and carbon reporting compliance, and voluntary reporting. The software supports organisations in producing clear, audit‑ready outputs backed by robust data.
Last year also saw the relaunch of TEAM’s flagship solution, Sigma Energy Management Software, used by organisations across the UK to monitor, analyse and optimise their energy estate. Sigma’s enhanced capability offers an improved interface, expanded analytics and advanced reporting, enabling organisations to take more decisive action on consumption and cost reduction.
“With over 45 years of being in the energy industry, we know what it is organisations need to meet their energy and sustainability goals. This is why we are investing so heavily in our Carbon Reporting Software and the relaunch of Sigma.” Continued Tom Anderton.
“Together, they give organisations a single source of truth for energy and emissions data, automate complex reporting requirements, and provide the insight needed to take real action, not just produce a report that you’re not quite sure what to do with. If businesses want to stay ahead of regulatory change, they need easy to use tools that make reporting accurate, repeatable and resilient, and that’s exactly what we are focused on delivering.”
These developments underline TEAM Energy’s commitment to supporting organisations as they work to reduce emissions, improve performance and achieve long‑term sustainability goals.
The ‘UK Businesses and the Transition to Net Zero’ programme aims to showcase the companies driving meaningful environmental change through innovation, leadership and expert guidance. TEAM Energy’s feature explores the tools and strategies helping organisations reduce their carbon emissions and build future-proof sustainable operations.
The episode airs on Sunday 10 May and Sunday 7 June both at 10:15am on FREEVIEW channel 279, FREELY channel 282 and Talk Talk TV.
