Bolton’s TVC Technology Solutions Completes Major AV Upgrade for Bolton Stadium Hotel  

Bolton, UK – September 24th, 2024, Bolton Stadium Hotel, the premier hotel and hospitality destination of the Northwest, has completed a major audio-visual upgrade to enhance its guest experience, with the help of Bolton-based audio-visual integrator, TVC Technology Solutions. 

The move further solidifies Bolton Stadium Hotel’s reputation for comfort and convenience, close to transport links and the famous UK football club ground. Located adjacent to the Toughsheet Community Stadium, home to Bolton Wanderers FC, the hotel has worked closely with TVC Technology Solutions to implement cutting-edge technology across its guest rooms, bar, and penthouse suites. 

The hotel's 125 newly refurbished rooms now feature the latest Mitchell & Brown TV screens, transforming in-room entertainment. Mitchell & Brown is widely regarded as the UK’s favourite domestic TV brand and, like TVC, are both divisions of Bolton’s successful TVD Group.  

A total of 114 standard and pitch-side rooms have been equipped with Mitchell & Brown JB-43BL1811 43” 4K Ultra HD Linux Smart TVs, while the 20 penthouse suites boast JB-50BL1811 50” 4K Ultra HD Linux models. These sleek, near-borderless TVs deliver breathtaking visuals enhanced by High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology, ensuring guests enjoy a top-tier viewing experience. 

These Mitchell & Brown TVs are equipped with "Hotel Mode Functionality," allowing the hotel to provide branded messages, promotions, and event information directly to guests’ screens via a dedicated TV channel. This feature enhances Bolton Stadium Hotel’s ability to promote in-house services, events, and matchday specials, offering a more tailored and immersive guest experience.

The hotel’s bar area has also ‘gone large’ on the AV with several Mitchell & Brown screens installed around the area to ensure that guests can catch live sports and entertainment from any part of the bar. Using MySign Digital Signage software, the hotel can now display live sporting events alongside promotional messages, making it an ideal setup for matchdays and special events. 

TVC Technology Solutions also provided bespoke mounting solutions to address unique room layouts. Select rooms have been fitted with B-Tech Tilt & Swivel Wall Mounts, ensuring optimal viewing angles and a seamless, clean look with hidden wall fixings. 

Integrating MySign Digital Signage solutions has brought an additional level of engagement for guests, particularly in the bar. The Picture-in-Picture functionality allows live sporting events to be shown alongside promotional content, keeping guests informed about special deals and upcoming events while they watch the action. With MySign’s cloud-based software, Bolton Stadium Hotel can easily update content across multiple screens in real time, offering flexibility based on the time of day or event schedule.
