Homeowners are embracing maximalism in the bathroom for the first time, according to new research.

Using data from Pinterest, bathroom and heating specialists Renaissance at Home found that searches for the term ‘maximalist bathroom’ are up 10 per cent this month, while ‘maximalist’ searches are up 40 per cent over the last year.

Brian Athey of Renaissance at Home said: “We know homeowners have become bolder in their interior choices, but previously a lot of homeowners focused on living spaces. Now we are seeing this desire to bring maximalism into the bathroom.”

Renaissance at Home are perfectly placed to help homeowners who want to inject a slice of maximalism into their bathrooms with their range of freestanding baths.

Not only do the baths command attention with their alluring shape, but they can also be finished in more than 10,000 colours, wrapped in leather, gilded or even finished in fabric.

Brian added: “Forget clinical classics, create your own private sanctuary with a bathroom that reflects your personality and interests. And with our range of customisable freestanding baths, stamping your own character in the bathroom has never been easier.
