Myth: Fallen branches can be dragged across lawns without consequence 

Fact: Dragging heavy debris can tear turf and compact soil, leading to patchy growth and drainage issues later on. Cutting branches into manageable sections helps protect lawns.  

Myth: Storm damage is only cosmetic  

Fact: Broken branches and debris left in place can restrict light and airflow, encourage disease, and slow recovery if not dealt with correctly.  

Myth: There’s no need to check equipment before using it after a storm  

Fact: Wet conditions increase safety risks. Garden machinery should always be checked, cleaned and used carefully after storms to ensure safe operation.
