Businesses are being invited to put their detective skills to the test as part of a bostin’ Black Country Day celebration.

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the very best of the region and bringing together businesses for an exciting event on July 14.

Taking place at the Black Country Living Museum, the celebrations will centre around the region’s heritage as well as a scavenger hunt that will see guests become super sleuths for the afternoon.

A prize along with bragging rights are up for grabs to the team who display the best detective skills and crack the case.

Businesses will also be treated to a Black Country inspired lunch.

Chamber chief executive Sarah Moorhouse said: “Black Country Day is a chance for us to come together and recognise the pride, ingenuity and determination that defines our region.

“The museum is the perfect backdrop for this celebration and it’s a chance for our teams of six to hunt the famous streets and buildings looking for clues and hidden gems.

“The event is open to everyone and we’ve got lots of individuals signed up but if businesses would like to team up, they’d be very welcome!"

The event kicks off at 11am with networking and a light lunch featuring classic Black Country dishes and a welcome from Sarah.

Businesses will then be given an insight into the fascinating history of the Black Country, before teams go head-to-head in the scavenger hunt.

The event runs until around 2pm with guests then able to enjoy free access to the museum for the remainder of the afternoon.

Tickets are priced at £30 for members and £40 for non-members. If you and your team want to get involved and fancy turning detective for the afternoon, then head to blackcountrychamber.co.uk/events to find out more and book your tickets.
