Smart Start pans come in four different ranges each with a different specification reflecting different needs of consumers. Cooking Made Easy with Smart Start

SmartStart® pans utilise temperature sensing technology to take the guesswork out of cooking. The temperature sensor, in the shape of a tick, is built into the non-stick coating, changing from a bright red to a dark red when the optimum cooking temperature has been reached. This allows consumers to identify the ideal cooking temperature and also save energy in the kitchen. By indicating the perfect cooking temperature, home chefs can understand exactly when to turn down the heat on the hob, reducing their energy consumption.

SmartStart® Classic frying pans have ergonomic Bakelite handles for a comfortable grip and easy manoeuvrability when cooking, alongside featuring the Aeroglide™ non-stick coating, which is 3 times stronger than standard non-stick coatings, for easy food release.

Gourmet frying pans have straight side walls which in turn offer a 15% greater cooking surface area. They also have a Bonded Steel base so it is possible to be used on any hob type, including induction, as well as featuring the Aeroglide™ non-stick coating, which is 3 times stronger compared to standard non-stick coatings.

Forged frying pans feature the Aeroglide™ Pro non-stick coating for easy food release, making them 8 times stronger than standard non-stick coatings. They also have a Softtex handle, for the ultimate in cool and comfortable handling when moving the pan around. They also feature a straight side wall, offering 15% more cooking surface area.

The SmartStart® collection has up to a 10-year guarantee, depending on the range, and the product and packaging are recyclable (excluding handles on Classic, Gourmet and Forged). All frying pans are dishwasher safe for an easy to clean finish, and are free from toxins.
