Border Collie Trust GB DOGCAST:
A World-First Podcast Hosted by Dogs:
A Revolutionary Production Created by Multi-Award-Winning
Superstar Pets...
Border Collie Trust GB, one of the UK’s leading Border Collie rescue and rehoming centres, is wagging its tail with excitement as it announces the launch of the world’s first-ever podcast presented by dogs!
Aptly named the “DOGCAST”, this groundbreaking initiative is the brainchild of the multi-award-winning Superstar Pets production company, who have twice been honoured with Charity Film Awards for their outstanding work with Border Collie Trust GB.
Border Collie Trust GB is one of the UK’s leading and respected Border Collie rescue and rehoming centres and it is thrilled to unveil the launch of the Border Collie Trust GB DOGCAST, which makes its debut at the end of January 2025.
This pioneering podcast, presented by dogs, is a wonderfully creative and thoroughly entertaining way to honour everything Border Collie. Blending humour, fun content, and touching storytelling, the DOGCAST captures the uplifting essence of daytime television, while showcasing the timeless appeal of man’s best friend, to offer an experience like no other.
It is simply a programme brimming with personality. Each monthly episode of the DOGCAST will enchant viewers with an engaging assortment of features, including:
• Rehoming Success Stories – Inspiring accounts of Border Collies finding their forever families.
• Fundraising Heroes – Recognising the extraordinary efforts of those who support the Trust’s mission.
• Border Collie Superstars – Highlighting the unique talents and remarkable achievements of these exceptional dogs.
• COLLIEWOOD Scoop – Entertainment highlights from Rover Reporter Scoop Dog, in Colliewood, offering the latest updates on Border Collies in “Tinsel Town.”
Adding a dash of comedic flair is Nessie, a guest presenter brilliantly voiced by “Knock Off Nessa” , whose quick wit and charm provide a spot-on homage to Nessa from Gavin & Stacey.
The DOGCAST has been brought to fruition under the leadership of Ben Wilkes, a Trustee of Border Collie Trust GB and a retired police officer. With 27 years involvement in animal welfare, Ben regards the DOGCAST as a fantastic opportunity to connect with a broader audience, while celebrating the intelligence, loyalty, and individuality of Border Collies.
“The DOGCAST is one of the most exciting and ground-breaking initiatives we’ve ever embarked on,” said Ben. “It’s inventive, fresh, and packed with heart – the ideal way to showcase the vital work we do and share the remarkable stories of the dogs we rescue and rehome. We’re thrilled to take viewers along for this exciting journey.”
The premiere episode of the Border Collie Trust GB DOGCAST launches live at 7.30 pm on Thursday 30th of January 2025, with new instalments following monthly. Subscribers and listeners can stay tuned to the Trust’s social media channels and website for updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and the latest episode details.
All should prepare to laugh, smile, and discover their love for Border Collies, as the DOGCAST is here to make history, one paw at a time.
