Limited-edition Seedball collection gives garden retailers a new way to bring wildflowers and charitable giving together.
Seedball is launching a limited-edition tube range, created in partnership with the National Garden Scheme (NGS) at Glee this September, giving garden retailers a new product opportunity ahead of the NGS’s centenary celebrations in 2027.
The National Garden Scheme Seedball Tubes will be unveiled on Seedball’s stand, 20J58, at Glee from 8–10 September, and will be available to buy from 1 September 2026.
Designed around Seedball’s simple approach to growing wildflowers, the new tubes combine Seedball’s distinctive seedball format with exclusive National Garden Scheme branding. The range has been created as part of the NGS Centenary Collection, a nationwide programme bringing together plants, garden products and gifts from selected partner brands ahead of the charity’s 100th anniversary.
Each tube has an RRP of £7.50, with 50p from every tube sold donated to the National Garden Scheme, giving customers the opportunity to buy a gardening product while supporting the charity’s work.
The NGS has been opening private gardens to the public for 100 years, with more than 3,300 gardens opening each year and over £78 million raised for nursing and health charities since 1927. Its beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and Parkinson’s UK.
The partnership provides Seedball with an opportunity to bring its wildlife-friendly gardening offer to a new retail audience, while giving garden centres a product with a clear charitable story to share with customers.
The NGS will be actively promoting the Centenary Collection through its strong relationships with garden centres and retail partners, helping to raise awareness of participating products ahead of the 2027 celebrations. The collection will also have a dedicated new product award at Glee, giving the products featured in the programme additional exposure among the garden retail industry.
For Seedball, the launch marks an opportunity to build on its existing retail presence and introduce the brand to new garden centre buyers ahead of the NGS’s centenary year.
The Seedball tubes will be available as a limited-edition range through to the end of 2027, allowing retailers to stock the collection throughout the NGS centenary year.
For retailers looking to introduce the range, the tubes are supplied in mixed packs of 21 in shelf-ready packaging, with a unit cost of £2.90.

Seedball was founded by two conservation scientists wanting to boost biodiversity and help wildlife.
Seedball Ltd is an innovative organisation on a mission to help increase the abundance of British wildflowers and the wildlife that depends upon them.
Owned by Project Maya – a non-profit enterprise - Seedball manufactures wildflower seed balls using a unique innovation of wildflower seeds mixed with clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder to naturally protect seeds from predators. Its products are sold in over 500 stores in the UK, including Kew Gardens, The Woodland Trust and Blue Diamond Garden Centres, as well as online retailers such as Crocus and Marie Curie. Each year, Seedball also donates products to hundreds of schools and community groups to help support their nature projects.
