McCarron Coates has appointed a fleet transport specialist in the south, to help ease insurance provision ‘range anxiety’ but also help spread its consultative sales approach further.
Rather than giving fleet transport insurance the big sell, McCarron Coates has always followed a strategy of providing on-point advice and risk management insight. This formula tangibly demonstrates the added value that the insurance broker can bring, acting as a magnet for clients who want cost-efficiencies and time-saving risk management solutions.
The Leeds-based brokerage has now attracted a like-minded individual to be an Account Director, in charge of a dynamic portfolio of clients. Morgan Bryant brings 6.5 years of experience in fleet transport with a very large and well-known name in the insurance industry to the table. His reason for joining McCarron Coates was down to its reputation and expertise in the sector.
Morgan admits to having been a bit of a McCarron Coates stalker. He has tracked the fleet transport insurance broker’s development and growth since its foundation, noting its impressive expansion and recognising award success that has contributed six top national awards to date.
Having so closely monitored its story, he already knows that the brokerage suits his ethos of continually improving insurance portfolios and providing clients with cover that is totally customisable, according to a client’s risk profile.
He gets his buzz out of seeing clients rewarded for their risk management strategies, in the form of lower premiums and better terms from insurers. He also appreciates how McCarron Coates’ very close relationship with fleet transport insurers will enable clients to not just access these benefits but also be provided, when necessary, with bespoke solutions.
“What I love about McCarron Coates’ broker journey is that the brokerage has never lost control of the service that it promised to fleet clients at the outset,” says Morgan. “Despite all of the brokerage’s growth and success, top-level service and unswerving commitment to clients has always been its true north. I feel proud to now be part of a team that is helping clients manage risk and achieve their own revenue and growth targets, through a deep understanding of the complex risks that fleet transport operators face.”
Morgan believes he will be able to use his networking skills to open more doors for his new employer. His aim will be to generate a strong pipeline of leads, from clients whose primary motivation in working with an insurance broker is that of getting the very best risk management advice and consultation in the market.
Paul Coates, a director at McCarron Coates, has already been impressed by Morgan’s commitment to service excellence within fleet risk management. “It became evident to me at the bus and coach fleet transport event, The Big Coach Conversation, that Morgan’s philosophy and sales approach truly reflects our own,” he says. “We believe in generating sales on the basis that we deserve to be appointed, due to the added value we can deliver through risk management insight. That is also the ethos that shines through, when we see Morgan liaising with prospective clients.”
One struggle Morgan may have is that of finding common ground in a footballing capacity. Whilst the McCarron Coates office are mainly staunch Leeds United fans, Buckinghamshire-raised Morgan has his colours nailed to the Wycombe Wanderers mast. Other than that, it should be a marriage made in heaven.
