A breathtaking story of daring, courage and loyalty from the bestselling, award-winning author of The Umbrella Mouse
The Fire Cats of London is set during the summer of 1966 when fear and superstition were rife. Two courageous young wildcats, Asta and Ash, face a dangerous journey after being captured and taken to an apothecary’s shop in the heart of London. Determined to return to their forest home, they must escape their captors before encountering an even greater threat – the Great Fire of London itself as its flames engulf the city.
Beautifully illustrated throughout by Sam Usher, the reader is taken on a spellbinding adventure through London during the most infamous fire in British history.
Featuring a marvellous cast of animal characters, The Fire Cats of London reveals the cruelty of the human world and the astonishing power of bravery and friendship.
