Tower, the UK’s leading SDA and housewares brand, have released a brand new collection of intelligent energy saving cookware.

Over the last couple of years, the number of people purchasing cookware products has drastically increased, as consumers have begun to spend more time in the kitchen. Having the correct surface temperature on a pan is vital for ensuring faultless cooking every time, in the same way that pre-heating your oven to the correct temperature is, and the SmartStart™ cookware collection is the latest technological innovation by Tower to make cooking easier than ever.

There are four compelling ranges in the SmartStart™ collection, to suit every consumer demographic. The collection consists of Classic, Gourmet, Forged, and Ultra Forged ranges, each with various construction processes such as Pressed and Forged Aluminium. There is also a clear trade up across the collection within the ranges from suitability for various hob types, to non-stick coatings and handles.

Innovative technology

SmartStart™ cookware utilises temperature sensing technology to take the guesswork out of cooking. The temperature sensor, in the shape of a tick, is built into the non-stick coating, glowing dark red when the optimum cooking temperature has been reached. This allows consumers to identify the ideal cooking temperature and also save energy in the kitchen. By indicating the perfect cooking temperature, home chefs can understand exactly when to turn down the heat on the hob, reducing their energy consumption.

Superior Aeroglide™ non-stick coatings

The SmartStart™ collection features exclusive new Aeroglide™ non-stick coatings, which are up to 15x stronger than other standard non-stick coatings providing unrivalled non-stick, anti-corrosion and abrasion resistance capabilities, giving consumers the ultimate non-stick, easy to clean cooking experience.

Each range is complete with different sizes of fry pan for each variation, ranging from 24cm, 28cm, 30cm and 32cm to provide maximum cooking versatility.

What makes each pan stand out?

SmartStart™ Classic frying pans have ergonomic Bakelite handles for a comfortable grip and easy manoeuvrability when cooking, alongside featuring the Aeroglide™ non-stick coating, which is 3 times stronger than standard non-stick coatings, for easy food release

Gourmet frying pans have straight side walls which in turn offer a 15% greater cooking surface area. They also have a Bonded Steel base so it is possible to be used on any hob type, including induction, as well as featuring the Aeroglide™ non-stick coating, which is 3 times stronger compared to standard non-stick coatings.

Forged frying pans feature the Aeroglide™ Pro non-stick coating for easy food release, making them 8 times stronger than standard non-stick coatings. They also have a Softtex handle, for the ultimate in cool and comfortable handling when moving the pan around. They also feature a straight side wall, offering 15% more cooking surface area.

Ultra-Forged frying pans come complete with the innovative, energy efficient Inducto™ induction compatible base, heating up 25% faster than standard induction bases, so a great energy saver, allowing you to start cooking in no time – perfect for busy lives! The unique base provides a more even heat distribution, for more consistent cooking and no more hot spots. The frying pans feature the Aeroglide™ Ultra non-stick coating, which is 15 times stronger than standard non-stick coatings, and are therefore safe to use with metal utensils, and in the oven up to 220°C, so super versatile.

The SmartStart™ collection has up to a 10-year guarantee, depending on the range, and the product and packaging are recyclable (excluding handles on Classic, Gourmet and Forged). All frying pans are dishwasher safe for an easy to clean finish, and are free from toxins.
