June 2026 - Rooted in a strong sense of place, Sensoria Dolomites champions local culture through collaborations and creative experiences with South Tyrolean artists. This vision expands with the brand-new launch of the Sensoria Art Residencies this summer, where select contemporary artists will be invited to live and work on site.

Through open studios and informal exchanges, hotel guests gain rare insight into the creative process, while each residency contributes to the growing Sensoria Art Edition. More than a seasonal initiative, the residencies mark the beginning of a long-term cultural vision, positioning Sensoria as a distinctive destination for contemporary art amid nature and holistic wellbeing.

Leading the inaugural residency programme are artists, Soichiro Kanai and Caroline Comploi…

Soichiro Kanai | 31st May to 11th June 2026

The first residency at Sensoria Dolomites will be with Japanese artist, Soichiro Kanai, whose work with beeswax, sumi ink, aged wood and soil explores the relationship between time, material and space. Soichiro allows each piece to evolve organically and the result is a body of work that exists in a delicate space between presence and disappearance, inviting guests to engage with the subtle beauty of change.

Caroline Comploi | 23rd - 30th August 2026

Inspired by the landscapes of the Dolomites, local artist Caroline Comploi was born and raised in Val Gardena and her work is shaped by her Ladin cultural background, as well as a broader reflection on ways of seeing in which humans, animals and environment are understood as a continuous whole. Through subtle explorations of light, movement and change, her paintings invite viewers into a contemplative space where the boundaries between the external world and inner experience begin to blur. Her work encourages us to slow down, look more closely, and discover new perspectives in the landscapes around us.

Extending this commitment to creativity beyond the residencies, Sensoria has introduced a new Art, Sound & Mindful Craft package, offering guests an experience that blends contemporary art, local craftsmanship and wellness…
