Shoppers at Vodafone’s Oxford Street flagship store today gave their first verdicts on Apple’s latest launch, the iPhone 17.
Tech fans flocked to the store as doors opened at 8am, many eager to upgrade on day one. Vodafone captured the excitement - and the first reactions - from customers walking away with the new device.
Maria Younes - 30 from London, was one of the first to get his hands on the new phone, opting for the iPhone 17 Pro. “I've been waiting for four years to upgrade my phone, I finally decided to get the iPhone 17. I got the Pro as I like the camera and to post on social media as well” she said.
Ben Hull - 52 from Marlow, upgraded to the iPhone 17 from an iPhone 11. “I thought it was time for an upgrade. I was really impressed to read online about the camera, its got amazing in-built stability. I thought it was time for an upgrade, so thats why I'm here. I'm a camera man as well, so the camera is really really important. The stabilisation on the new model looks absolutely incredible.” Ben said.
Waheed Momeni - 39 from London, a part time boxing coach was excited about the new camera AI features. “I've been really excited about the launch. The features are amazing. I'm an iPhone customer for years, it is a great time for me. It is all about getting home and unboxing and see what it can do.”
The iPhone 17, which Apple says is its most durable handset yet, went on sale across the UK this morning. Vodafone said its flagship Oxford Street store saw “strong demand and plenty of buzz” from the moment doors opened.
