Vegan Fayre Returns to Bristol This Spring with Star Studded Lineup and Delicious Plant Based Delights!
Bristol set for an expansive vegan food festival in City Centre
With actor Peter Egan, TV Presenter Wendy Turner Webster, Film Makers Dan Richardson and Giles Alderson…. And an abundance of vegan food, talks, comedy – and more!
The Bristol Vegan Fayre returns to Document in St Jude's on Saturday April 12th with a fun packed day full of plant based goodness with some outstanding guests, performers, stallholders and the star of the show - the vast array of vegan food options on display.
'The food is terrific' state the organisers with considerable enthusiasm,
'with everything from seitan kebabs through to exotic cream cakes, with ice cream, savouries, pokes, Greek, Turkish, Italian dishes, mac and cheese, burgers and fries, and so much more - it’s a tantalising selection designed to suit any taste bud and no matter where you are with plant based options, this show will surprise and delight beyond your wildest dreams when it comes to plant based food.'
It’s not just the food on offer of course - the Bristol Vegan Fayre is also showcasing the fantastic brand new feature film documentary 'Food For Thought' with directors Dan Richardson and Giles Alderson in attendance for a Q & A afterwards.
The film focuses on the global vegan community, fun uplifting and inspirational and absolutely fabulous for people yet to go vegan who are curious about this way of life.
Dan … Actor, Animal Conservationist and Filmmaker says:
“We’re really looking forward to coming to Bristol for VegfestUK— to connect with the vegan community and also chat with anyone curious about vegan living.
Whether it’s for animals, health, the environment, or simply trying something new, Bristol is the perfect place to explore how small changes can make a big impact.”
The film makes a brilliant introduction to veganism and coupled with the amazing food on offer at the show, this will be a real delight for everyone, regardless of their current dietary preferences.
The show is full of top level speakers with a strong emphasis on fitness and nutrition…
And 'strong' being the operative word, given the presence of genuine vegan strongmen and highly achieving athletes including….
Ex Bristol City and Forest Green Rovers footballer Simon Clist, now running his own nutrition company, and current Kettleball champion Nick Thick, from Portishead, who competes in the USA with the all- conquering Vegan Strong team.
We have an opportunity to find out all about their plant based secrets and tips, and how to maintain optimum energy and recovery.
The Bristol Vegan Fayre also sees the launch of 2 new high profile vegan projects in the UK - the Why Go Vegan Campaign, which focuses on traditional vegan education and the benefits of plant-based diets, will launch at the show in the company of esteemed actor and activist Peter Egan (of Downton Abbey fame)… along with Vegan Women’s Club.
Peter says;
"I'm really looking forward to heading back to Bristol – a city that holds a special place in my heart.
The warmth and friendliness of the people make it such a joy to visit, and I’ve always had a deep affection for the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, a true cornerstone of creativity and talent.
VegfestUK is always a highlight, with its fantastic atmosphere and welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect place for anyone curious about the joys of a vegan lifestyle. I can’t wait to be back!"
The new Vegan Women's Club founded by award winning vegan influencer & CEO/Co founder the K-9 Angels dog rescue charity Victoria Featherstone Pearce and presenter and PR Karin Ridgers.
Vegan Women’s Club Ambassador TV presenter and producer Wendy Turner Webster is also joining in the VegfestUK fun.
Plus there's an additional room featuring a number of talks on animal rights campaigning and veganism, with a community focus and some high-profile speakers including Juliet Gellatley from Bristol based Charity Viva!, and an evidence-based talk on vegan dog and cat food.
There is some top notch comedy in the form of Andrew O'Neill and the award winning Dawn Chorus, and some fabulous live performances from vegan musicians including an excellent Elton John set from Elton V.
Plus a Kids area and a free gift on entry - with free entry for kids under 16 - the Bristol Vegan Fayre is set to enthral a new generation of people new to plant based lifestyles - something it has been doing now successfully for 23 years.
'We love Bristol' say the organisers …
'Friendly, fun, upbeat and full of lovely people. The vibe at Bristol is always the best and we can't wait to welcome throngs of excited visitors to our event this Spring.'

About VegfestUK
First held in the city way back in 2003, the Bristol Vegan Fayre has been symbolic with the rise of veganism and plant based options in the UK to a point where every high street and supermarket is resplendent with own label plant based brands.
The Fayre retains its staunchly independent status with an array of handmade artisan vegan food producers that are not available in mainstream options.
