Universal compatibility meets installation simplicity in new Codelocks Universal Latch Strike

Enschede, NL, 23 Julye 2026 – Codelocks, a leading designer and manufacturer of access control products, has launched its Universal Latch Strike, a versatile new solution that reduces the need for multiple strike types while making installation easier for professionals across a wide range of door and gate applications.

The Universal Latch Strike is designed to work with a variety of latches for gates and external doors, including surface latches, adjustable gate latches and traditional mortice latches. This versatility means installers no longer need to carry multiple strike types for different projects, helping simplify specification and installation across multiple applications.

Codelocks developed the Universal Latch Strike to make latch and strike alignment easier. It features multiple screw locating positions for greater flexibility, along with 2mm packing pieces for fine adjustment. This allows installers to adapt the product to individual site requirements, reducing the need for alternative strike options and supporting first-time-right fitting. 

The Universal Latch Strike also helps speed up installation. Its surface-mounted design removes the need to cut recesses into the door or gate frame, while still allowing for recessed installation where site conditions require additional flexibility.

Available in brushed steel and black marine-grade finishes, the Universal Latch Strike offers flexible colour-matching options for a wide range of applications. It is supplied with wood screws for timber frames and machine screws for metal frames, and includes raised locating dots on the inner face to help ensure a secure, stable fixing on timber. It can be installed on both inward- and outward-opening doors and gates, including flush and double gate configurations.
