The Brad Retro turntable is the latest release from Asian lifestyle brand phenomenon Gadhouse, offering stand-out vintage design combined with modern features and marking the newest addition to the iconic ‘House of Gadgets’
Tuesday 18th April 2023: Global audio and lifestyle brand Gadhouse has launched its sixties-inspired turntable range Brad Retro to the UK market.
The Brad Retro, available in five stylishly stand-out colourways, is the ultimate retro-modern combination of an ‘old-school’ turntable meets modern, feature packed audio player with speakers.
Perfect as a retro-cool addition to your home, this affordable three-speed turntable plays all your vinyl classics while its wireless Bluetooth compatibility means you can stream modern favourites direct from your phone thanks to its powerful speakers. Available from Urban Outfitters RRP £120.
The Brad Retro plays 7-12 inch vinyl in three speed options 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM for those very early classic vinyl cuts. It also features 3.5mm in and out jacks, pitch control, dust cover and belt-drive turntable mechanism.
Fitted with a ruby stylus, built in features include Bluetooth 5.0 receiver, auto-stop function, volume adjustment, play and pause lift lever, and function selection, as well being supplied with three additional cables - dual RCA to stereo 3.5 mm mini-plug (female), dual RCA to dual RCA (male) and 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm mini-plug, to cater to all your input/output needs.
Gadhouse symbolises a vintage house with retro vibes, products packed full of features and modern technology, then finished with nostalgic and creative one-of-a-kind designs. Each product concept is based on a different human character, filling the ‘House of Gadgets’ with effortless style.
The Brad Retro series comes in five colourways – tangerine, retro green, ivory, grey and navy. Gadhouse’s design team is internationally known for its attention to detail and in-depth creative process behind each product.
CEO Petch Teosuwan said: “Each colourway represents a different theme from the sixties. After World War II people started to pave their way for a brighter future and pursued the ‘American Dream’. When they worked hard, they also invested in life, and so it then became the golden age for capitalism. The economy flourished and many products and inventions were in colourful and bright colours - Tangerine was one of the popular options in that time.
“Ivory is inspired by the cool retro design of classic 50s appliances, and we envision Brad channelling sock hops, malt shops, ’57 Chevys, and all the hippest looks from the golden age of rock ’n’ roll with a new vintage cream style that will turn heads in any room.
“Green and Grey are inspired by the original Brad - he digs old-school vinyl but can also croon in ultra-modern digital melodies. He loves to perform but holds true to his vintage roots and looks sharp in retro green or rock ’n’ roll grey.
“Lastly, Navy is inspired by the U.S. Navy uniform in 50-60s which is the colour of courage, endeavour, and patience. During the tough times for the Navy in World War II, music and books were the only entertainment in the midst of loneliness. Brad Retro Navy is going to help you get through the long days.”
