Global visual solutions brand Vestel, based in Slough, has been working with Castleview School to upgrade its classrooms, adding state-of-the-art interactive screens to enhance the children’s education engagement
Wednesday 21st June 2023: Vestel, Europe’s leading manufacturer of TVs, displays, and interactive screens, has donated a range of interactive and digital screens to a primary school local to its UK head office.
The technology giant, based in Langley, Slough, has been working closely with Castleview School, a local primary, by donating four interactive screens to help improve class engagement and learning.
Last academic year Vestel donated a 75inch interactive screen to the school’s nursery class, and this year it has added two screens for Year 4 classrooms and one for Year 3. Vestel has also provided three digital signage screens, one of which is being used as a ‘home cinema’ for after school clubs and two in the manager's rooms which are used for meetings.
Vestel leads the way in affordable, fully featured interactive screens for education, offering a comprehensive range of models from 55 to 85in screen sizes using open-source Android operating system to ensure the widest compatibility with educational software. The range features a suite of office software tools and the ability to snapshot screens for handouts and future reference.
The ongoing partnership is part of a commitment from Vestel to its local community which also includes working with charities like Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital.
Tim Matthews, Senior Product Manager at Vestel, said: “It’s been fantastic to work with Castleview and its team and we hope the addition of the interactive technology and digital screens can benefit both children and teachers in their day-to-day work and learning.
“It’s important for us as a company to support our community and we look forward to many more exciting projects like this in the future.”
Clair Harris, Computing Lead at Castleview Primary School said: “We are proud to have built a strong working relationship with Langley based company, Vestel, who are going that extra mile to support schools in the local area.
“The children in Year 4 have benefitted from having larger screens in their classroom, which make the work easier to view from any angle in the room. In addition, as the screens are now interactive, they can contribute to the lessons, lead parts of the lessons and add their opinions to the teaching slides.”
