Hillier Garden Centres has announced plans to redevelop its Chichester site into a brand-new destination garden centre, bringing an enhanced and more inspiring experience for customers.

The new centre will replace the existing site and has been designed to create a welcoming space where visitors can shop, dine and enjoy gardening all in one place.

George Hillier, Chairman, said: “We are incredibly excited about the future of Hillier Garden Centre Chichester. This redevelopment will transform the centre into a destination that offers so much more for our customers, while still staying true to our horticultural roots.”

The new garden centre will feature:

•                A significantly enhanced plant area with an even wider range of indoor and outdoor plants

•                Spacious, easy-to-navigate shopping areas with improved under-cover plant spaces

•                A brand-new Edwin & Betsy’s restaurant, perfect for relaxing and enjoying great food

•                Expanded gift, home and lifestyle ranges

•                A Hillier Food Hall offering high-quality food and local produce

Sustainability is also a key focus of the redevelopment, with features including solar panels, electric vehicle charging points and improved water management systems.

George Hillier continued: “We are creating a space that is not only inspiring to visit but also designed for the future, with sustainability and customer experience at its heart. We’re really looking forward to creating a new centre our customers will enjoy.”

Work is planned to commence from Summer 2027, with the current centre anticipated to remain open throughout the duration of the development.
