UK’s Only In-Air Christmas Light Trail is Back in Cornwall 

Eden Project’s festive lights get an adrenaline-fuelled twist as Night Flights return this winter, reaching speeds of 60mph 

14 October 2026, Cornwall, UK:  Christmas light trails are taking to the skies above Cornwall this winter as Hangloose Adventure’s Night Flights return to the Eden Project from 20 November. 

The unique festive experience gives visitors the chance to see the Eden Project’s iconic illuminated biomes from 96 metres in the air, flying across the 660-metre Skywire at speeds of up to 60mph. 

Described as the UK’s only in-air Christmas light trail, Night Flights offer a different way to experience the Eden Project at Christmas, combining its festive illuminations with an adrenaline-fuelled flight high above the site. 

More than 500 visitors took to the skies during last year’s Night Flights, and the experience will return on selected evenings from 20 November through to 2 January, including additional opening dates over the Christmas period. 

Guests can fly solo or side-by-side, making Night Flights an option for families, couples and groups looking for a festive experience with a difference. After their flight, guests can warm up with a complimentary hot chocolate, while friends and family can watch the action from designated viewing areas.

“Night Flights are a completely different way to experience the Eden Project at Christmas. You get all the atmosphere of the festive season, but rather than walking through a light trail, you’re flying above it at 60mph. 

“It’s not every day you get to see the Eden Project from 96 metres in the air, and we’re really looking forward to kicking off the Christmas festivities and welcoming visitors back to the skies.”
