Wharf House, Mousehole, Cornwall, Sleeps: 6 - 10 

[Text Wrapping Break]A brand new addition to the Perfect Stays collection, Wharf House sits directly on the harbourfront. Steeped in history and overlooking the calm waters, the property is a striking coastal retreat in the heart of Mousehole. Thoughtfully restored and reimagined by Woodford Architects, this 1850s building has taken on many guises over the years – from a daffodil store and sail loft to a carpenter’s workshop. Most famously, it became home to the transatlantic cable rerouted here during the First World War, establishing the first direct connection between the UK and the US.  

Sleeping 10 guests across four uniquely designed bedrooms, the interiors pay tribute to a colourful past. Step outside and discover a private sanctuary in the enclosed garden. A rare bolthole in Mousehole, the space features two outdoor baths, a sociable fire pit, a large outdoor table and a charcoal barbecue. Begin the day with pastries and freshly brewed coffee, then unwind in the warmth of the sauna before stepping under the invigorating drench bucket.
