Leading SDA Brand Announces Latest Housewares Innovations with Hands-Free Sensor Bins

Tower, the UK’s favourite brand for SDAs & Housewares, have announced the latest in a long line of housewares innovations with the introduction of a unique range of sensor bins.

With several innovations focused on simple and efficient cooking with their popular air fryer & cookware ranges, Tower are no strangers to creating housewares that are not only stylish, but they are effective.

Introducing the Tower Ozone and Compact bins, that offer hands-free use that is perfect for any hygiene conscious consumer. Featuring infrared technology for hands-free opening, the bins offer a hygienic, fuss-free method of waste disposal by removing the need to open and close the bin manually, thus removing the spread of germs as a result.

Ozone Filter Fresh Technology

Ozone bins expertly utilise Ozone Filter Fresh Technology to reduce unpleasant and unwanted odours from the bin, filtering out particles for cleaner, fresher air. The cycle lasts 60 seconds and is activated by a 5 second button press. An additional carbon filter complements the technology, soaking up excess moisture from within the bin to help remove unwanted smells.

It is also hands-free for more hygienic waste disposal thanks to infrared technology. All that is required is a single hand motion and the bin will open, closing automatically after a short period of inactivity. The bins require 6x AA batteries for the sensor to work, but can also be opened manually with the on/off switch.

Each bin has a generous capacity of 50L, 60L and 65L allowing for simple and efficient waste disposal without the need to constantly empty the bin. The 50L Ozone bin not only has the sensor lid on top but also has a pull-out drawer at the bottom with a removable bucket, this is ideal for storing recycling with simple, fuss-free emptying. The 65L Ozone bins offer a more contemporary look to add subtle style to any kitchen with the addition of wooden legs. All 3 bin capacities are available in multiple colours, black, grey, stainless steel and white, additionally the 65L Ozone bin also comes in the colourway copper, adding an extra element of flair to any home.

Compact Sensor Bin

Similar to the Ozone bins, the Tower compact sensor bin offers hands-free opening for effortless convenience and hygienic use to prevent the spread of germs. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the bin lid will close, preventing any unpleasant odours from escaping and offering a more convenient waste disposal solution. It is also battery operated, with 4x AA batteries required for consumers to enjoy all the benefits of the compact bin, although the batteries aren’t included.

Tower’s compact sensor bin offers a reduced environmental impact as the more compact design means that less packaging is required, making it easier to transport due to requiring less space on delivery vehicles. It is also convenient for consumers to purchase the bin, as it is easier to carry compared to a traditional bin. The consumer will also benefit from a quick and easy assembly so they can start using the bin almost immediately.

The spacious 60L capacity is perfect for busy households as it can hold more everyday household waste, so consumers don’t have to spend as much time emptying the bin. The bin liner retainer ring ensures the liner won’t slip down into the bottom of the bin, allowing for easy replacement of bin liners, whilst the stylish robust body ensures the bin is durable enough to last the test of time.
