London, July 2024 – The London Card Show is returning for its 13th event over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of August and is set to be a sell-out show again, bringing over 4.2k collectors and enthusiasts from across the globe together for the biggest weekend this summer in the UK trading card community!
The event will offer attendees a large variety of engaging activities, competitions, and collectables as well as an exciting lineup of Q&As, panels and discussions with experts and special guests on the main stage. This year's main stage activities include a Whatnot Live Stream, the Topps UCC 23/24 collection box break, the Bring your Card to Life Contest, the Pokémon Trainer Challenge, a Live session with renowned Pokémon enthusiasts and influencers Poki Chloe & Poke Dean. Attendees can also enter the popular segment 'Risk it or Leave it’. Participants can enter for free and choose between two boxes for a chance to win exciting prizes.
This August, the show will also host former England and Liverpool footballer legend David James. He will be on the main stage, answering questions and enagaging in an interactive session with the fans.
Back by popular demand is their Trade Zone, Live Streaming Zone, Creator Studio, Vlogger Zone and Retro Gaming Zone including iconic childhood video games, such as Pacman, Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, Star Wars, Time Crisis x 2, Atari Classics x 2, NBA Jam, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Marvel v Capcom, Sonic the Hedgehog and Road Rage.
For the first time at the show, there will be an opportunity for fans to participate in a Cosplay competition, inviting them to ‘Bring your Cards to Life’ and dress up as their favourite characters. Further adding to the excitement will be Sandra Chelwińska, a Star Wars Unlimited Artist making her debut appearance at the show.
Family favourite at the show, the Kids Zone will offer a busy schedule of activities for young fans including custom card creation, box breaks, arts & crafts, lessons from card artists and learning a dance to the Pokémon theme song by Instagrammer Daisy of @daysofdaisy.
The show will host a large variety of stalls catering to all interests, including sports cards and collectibles, along with TCG cards namely, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and even Disney Lorcana.
Two renowned Lorcana illustrators – Kasia Brzezinska and Emily Abeydeera – will also be attending the event, hosting workshops in the Kids Zone and meeting the fans. The show’s popular trade night will also return on the Saturday evening (3rd August 2024) for collectors to spend time socialising and trading cards.
