The Story

Jenny woke at ____________ and realised it was the day of Grasmere Lakeland Sports and Show – time to win a prize, potentially, and _____________ the culture and heritage of the Lake District.

A few hours later, she spotted a  ____________ on her window.  “The Italians consider that they bring good luck,” she said.  “And wasn’t there that Cumbrian-cum-Italian sounding hound trail winner in 2019 called _________________?  Perhaps it’s a sign and it’s going to be a really good day.”

Her husband was reading a classic novel, ‘David ____________’, in fact.  Her young daughter was cuddling her beloved __________, blissfully unaware of the role an American president had had in his naming.   Jenny resolved to head out to Grasmere Sports alone, solely with her trusted hound.

Much to ________     __________, the day proved a successful one and her hound flew like a ___________ off the starting line.

Later, when Jenny looked at her trophy shimmering in the sunshine, she was truly ____________.
