Leading global manufacturer Vestel Visual Solutions has teamed up with British wildlife rescue charity Tiggywinkles by donating digital signage screens and interactive boards.
Tuesday 11th July 2023: Vestel is thrilled to announce it has joined forces with the team at Tiggywinkles, the world’s leading wildlife hospital, to help raise awareness of its rescue efforts and improve its on-site technology and visitor experience.
The partnership continues Slough-based Vestel’s commitment to support charities and good causes close to its heart and local community and follows on from recent technology donations to Castleview Primary School.
Tiggywinkles, based in Haddenham, is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife. Since opening its doors, over 300,000 patients have received treatment.
All British wild animal casualties brought to the hospital are treated completely free of charge and are released through a controlled programme, back to the wild, when they are fully fit. Tiggywinkles deals with over 70,000 animal enquiries each year, offering help and advice to veterinary units, rehabilitators, and the public worldwide.
Vestel has partnered with Tiggywinkles to help reinvigorate the charity’s front of house signage and provide interactive solutions for its education centre. Vestel has donated two digital signage screens which are being used in the entrance of the site to display information about the animals currently in the hospital’s care. This information was previously displayed on a blackboard.
Vestel also donated an interactive screen which will be used in the Tiggywinkles lecture hall for teaching students when it has finished being constructed. The Tiggywinkles team soon look forward to offering a comprehensive range of courses for Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses, as part of its CPD (continued Professional Development). This exciting new initiative will work well in amongst the Animal Management diplomas, workshops, experiences, and lectures already provided as part of its commitment to education in Wildlife Care and rehabilitation.
Vestel leads the way in affordable, fully featured interactive screens for education, offering a comprehensive range of models from 55 to 85in screen sizes using open-source Android operating system to ensure the widest compatibility with educational software. The range features a suite of office software tools and the ability to snapshot screens for handouts and future reference.
Part of the partnership also includes Vestel raising awareness of Tiggywinkles at various trade shows and events throughout the year. At recent trade show Fully Charged Live, the Vestel team raised money for the charity by encouraging guests to donate in exchange for a Tiggywinkles hedgehog cuddly toy, made from recycled water bottles.
Tim Moran, Director of Operations at Tiggywinkles said: “We are so thrilled for Vestel to be supporting our life-saving work and we could not be happier with the fantastic screens that they have so kindly donated to our wildlife hospital. This interactive display equipment will have such a great impact within our entrance area, Visitor Centre and new-to-be CPD College.
Sara Lang, Vestel’s Environment and Sustainability Manager said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Tiggywinkles and helping to support the team in their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate British wildlife.
“The work that takes place at the centre is nothing short of amazing, and we are excited to help improve on-site operations and raise awareness in any way we can.”
