Bangkok lifestyle brand phenomenon Gadhouse has launched its achingly stylish wireless speakers ‘Miles’ as it sets out to disrupt the UK market with its retro-cool, fashion-inspired audio designs
8th March 2023: Global audio and lifestyle brand Gadhouse has today launched its retro-cool, sleek wireless speakers ‘Miles’ to the UK.
As a key product in a growing portfolio of audio and accessory products that have taken Asia by storm, the inspiration behind Miles is ‘East meets West’ - 70s and 80s European style combined with Japanese minimalist ‘less is more’ philosophy, yet packed with modern features to merge contemporary technology with retro style and nostalgia.
Gadhouse’s creative team took inspiration from music legends like David Bowie and Miles Davis to create the Miles speakers that ooze sophistication through their simplicity and textured surfaces including stainless steel. RRP £199.99
With its ‘less is more’ approach, the combination of matte and textured materials and slick silver and black finish make the Miles a stylish addition to your home bookcase, workstation or living room. Ideal for pairing with a Gadhouse turntable, Miles also features the latest Bluetooth V5.2, so you can stream your favourite music from a smart device in up to fully lossless audio and High-Res quality sound over longer ranges than basic Bluetooth.
Bangkok-based Gadhouse, or ‘House of Gadgets’, designs audio products which centre on stylish living, music, creativity, and art. The brand combines the best of vintage audio design with modern technology and living.
Gadhouse has gained huge popularity across Asia and is set to shake up the traditional mass market UK audio scene with the release of several exciting products in 2023. The brand’s vision is to bring art, music, and vintage culture to the UK, partnering with indie brands and working on exclusive collaborations.
Gadhouse symbolises a vintage house with retro vibes, products packed full of features and modern technology, then finished with nostalgic and creative one-of-a-kind designs. Each product concept is based on a different human character, filling the ‘House of Gadgets’ with effortless style.
CEO Petch Teosuwan, 32, originates from Bangkok and has a background in production engineering, completing his MSc in Engineering Business Management at Coventry University.
A self-proclaimed ‘music nerd’, Petch’s passion for retro music led him to investigate classic and vintage sound systems.
He says: “When I was starting out, I did some research and found that retro sound systems like record players turned out to be very high-end and niche. There were very few options for good-looking record players that were affordable, so I decided to build a range of retro sound systems with Gadhouse.
“The name Gadhouse comes from the idea that we want to build a House of Gadgets. We envision a house that is analogue, yet timeless and futuristic in what it offers. A house that is iconic for its retro-cool image.
“Every product is given a name and backstory to bring it to life. We aim to provide not just a sound system but almost a companion to our customers, a friend to chill with, or a fellow ‘music geek’ buddy who lives under the same roof.
“Miles for example has a warm and laid-back personality. At Gadhouse parties, you’ll always find a crowd gathered around him, fascinated by his stories about dancing at underground parties in abandoned Berlin factories and wandering through futuristic tech markets in Tokyo.
“For all his effortless style and understated coolness, Miles is always happiest when he’s sharing good music with his friends.
“We want our products to be more than just an item in your home, they should inspire you to feel something, taking you back in time and evoking the passion of music and the art of timeless design.”
The Miles speakers are an immensely powerful true-stereo speaker system featuring 25 watts per channel amplification and multiple drivers to deliver full-range 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response for the most realistic and engaging sound.
Behind the matte-black piano paint exterior and stainless-steel grille hides cutting-edge Bluetooth V5.2 wireless connectivity to stream in the highest quality sound from any smart device, a USB slot for stored media playback and inputs to connect up a turntable or other retro analogue source.
Miles features a Dynamic Speaker Grille, with the combination of deep and sharp sounds providing the most immersive sound experience from wherever you are in the room.
Miles is made for those seeking breath-taking style, stunning sound-quality and something truly unique in the crowded wireless loudspeaker market.
