2025 is shaping up to be another exciting year for Hillier Garden Centres and Nurseries as it reaffirms its partnership with BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair and BBC Gardeners' World Live. As the headline sponsor of BBC Gardener’s World Spring Fair for the fifth consecutive year and returning as a sponsor to BBC Gardeners' World Live for a fourth time, Hillier is eager to showcase its passion for plants and share expert advice with gardening enthusiasts from all corners of the UK.
For Hillier, the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair is a particularly special event. Held close to its Hampshire roots in the stunning grounds of Beaulieu, the show offers a unique opportunity to engage with the local community. The team at Hillier will once again design and build a beautiful garden display, demonstrating their deep-rooted specialism in plants and horticulture.
“The BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair is always a highlight for us, allowing us to connect directly with the local community and share our knowledge and excitement for the gardening season ahead. We’re really thrilled to be the headline sponsor for the fifth year and can’t wait to welcome visitors to the Hillier Garden this spring”, commented Chris Francis, Retail and Wholesale Director at Hillier Garden Centres.
At BBC Gardeners’ World Live in June, Hillier will take its commitment to gardening to a national stage, introducing its high-quality plants and horticultural advice to a wider audience. As a key sponsor, Hillier will supply plants for show gardens, including this year’s Headline Show Garden, sponsor the Let’s Talk Plants stage and host a retail area where visitors can explore and purchase from Hillier Nurseries' vast selection. The experts at Hillier will be on hand at both events to offer advice and answer any gardening questions. Visitors will also have the chance to sign up for the Hillier Gardening Club, unlocking a range of benefits, including exclusive offers, advice and inspiration.
Chris Francis added, “We’ve been thrilled with our partnership over the years, and we’re looking forward to continuing it in 2025. Both events are fantastic opportunities to inspire and connect with gardeners, whether they are long-term Hillier customers or new to the brand. We’re excited for another year of sharing our love for plants and supporting the gardening community.”
Hillier looks forward to another successful year at both BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair and BBC Gardeners' World Live, inspiring gardeners with expert advice, beautiful plants and innovative designs.

“To inspire the creation of green living spaces for now and the future” Hillier is one of the leading names in the horticultural industry, with 160 years of growing and retail experience.
Founded in 1864 by Edwin Hillier, the company remains a family-run nursery with the fifth generation now actively involved in the family business as it continues to grow.
Not only is Hillier the largest producer of semi-mature trees in Europe and grower of over one million plants at its Hampshire nursery, but it also employs over 750 staff across its nursery, amenity trees and 22 garden centre divisions and is a flourishing multi-million pound company. It proudly holds the world record for the most consecutive gold medals awards at the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with 74 wins.
As one of the leading growers in the UK, Hillier is involved in many peat-free initiatives, including the RHS Peat-Free Fellowship, the largest peat-free collaborative research project globally. The company was amongst the first nurseries to become 100% peat-free across both its production nursery and retail garden centres, and all Hillier plants are grown in peat-free compost.
Recent successes for the company include the launch of its online shop, the substantial redevelopment of Hillier Garden Centre Newbury and the acquisition of the Rosebourne Garden Centre Group in November 2022, as well as sponsorship of BBC Gardeners’ World Live and BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, and the incredibly popular free ‘Hillier Gardening Club’ loyalty program which now has over half a million members.
Renowned for being a leading breeder of plants in the UK at its 100% peat-free nursery in Hampshire, each year Hillier introduces amazing new varieties. Many of these have become essentials in British gardens and the company continues with the tradition of innovation and the introduction of new garden plants in the present day.
