The Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) has appointed SECUTIX as its partner for ticketing technology and business services.
In addition to using SECUTIX’s technology platforms, KSÍ will also leverage SECUTIX's new full-service ticketing capabilities, FAN4LIFE. This offers a range of business services, including advisory, sales, fulfilment, on-site operational support, payment processing, and fan care.
One of the primary benefits for fans with this new agreement will be the ability to manage all their tickets through a KSÍ-branded ticket app, eliminating the need for printed paper tickets. Additionally, forwarding tickets to friends and family or reselling tickets, a key feature for any ticket buyer, will also be made significantly easier through a fully branded mobile and online ticketing experience.
With SECUTIX as a partner, the KSÍ becomes the “Primary Data Controller”, owning all the data captured through its online sales and mobile fulfilment processes. One of the advantages of this is that the KSÍ can start to offer more tailored packages to different segments of its fan base, something fans have been requesting, and the governing body was eager to provide.
Since the KSÍ is a significantly smaller team compared to other associations across Europe, working with SECUTIX will help its existing staff better meet fan needs without increasing operational overheads.
Stefan Gunnarsson, Commercial & Marketing Director at the KSÍ, said: “As a forward-thinking football association, the KSÍ constantly strives for improvement. Despite being few in number, we want to do as well as possible in every aspect. In this regard, the KSÍ felt it needed a partner that could match its ambition, which is to meet the demands of today´s and future customers in terms of service level, efficiency and technology. By choosing SECUTIX, we aim to enhance our reputation as a provider of top-class services for ticket buyers at football events in Iceland.”
David Hornby, SECUTIX Vice-President of UK, Ireland and FAN4LIFE, added: “We’re delighted to announce KSÍ as a full-service client of SECUTIX, using our established technology platform as well as our newly launched business support services. FAN4LIFE services offers a comprehensive ticketing solution, allowing KSÍ to focus on delivering exceptional events while we manage the entire ticketing process.”
KSÍ handles over 50,000 tickets annually. The SECUTIX platform and FAN4LIFE services will be live for the annual finals of domestic cup competitions, as well as all men’s and women’s A national team matches, including the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
