Biography: Julian Norton

Veterinary Surgeon

Julian Norton, is a distinguished British veterinary surgeon, author, and television personality. A Cambridge University graduate, Julian's career in veterinary medicine includes a certification in Small Animal Practice and co-authoring a notable paper in the Veterinary Record on the arterial oxygen-haemaglobin saturation in newborn lambs. He has worked in several veterinary practices, including Rae, Bean and Partners, and founded Thirsk Veterinary Centre in 2021. Julian's expertise and commitment to animal welfare have made him a respected figure in the field.

Julian gained fame as the main vet on Channel 5's "The Yorkshire Vet," attracting over 2 million viewers across 13 series since 2015. His media achievements extend to presenting roles in documentary series “Springtime on the Farm” and “Big Week at the Zoo,” as well as regular appearances on “The Wright Stuff.” An accomplished author, Julian has penned six books chronicling his veterinary experiences, significantly contributing to the public understanding and appreciation of veterinary science.
