For many gardeners, creating a vibrant, stylish outdoor space is the goal but achieving that look is becoming increasingly expensive. With rising costs, even simple updates like new plant pots can feel more like a luxury than an easy seasonal refresh.

That’s where niva comes in.

Designed by elho, niva proves that great style and quality don’t have to come at a high price. Its soft, rounded shape and neutral finish complement a wide range of planting styles, from bold, colourful blooms to calming greenery, allowing plants to take centre stage.

More than just a stylish choice, niva is built to last. Made using sustainable materials and crafted to elho’s high standards, it offers a durable, thoughtful solution for today’s gardens. The result is a pot that delivers on style, quality and affordability - showing that a beautiful outdoor space doesn’t need to cost the earth.

A pot for every plant – big or small

Niva is designed with flexibility in mind. While many plant pots can feel limiting, catering only to certain types of planting, niva is available in 11 sizes ranging from 14cm to a generous 47cm. From small, vibrant geranium displays to larger roses and established shrubs, there’s a size to suit almost every plant.

Its clean, neutral colour palette, available in anthracite and mushroom beige, ensures the plants remain the focal point, allowing natural colours and textures to shine. With its modern, understated design, niva fits seamlessly into contemporary outdoor spaces, helping to create a cohesive, sleek and effortlessly stylish garden aesthetic.

Alongside its sustainability credentials, niva has been designed to remain accessible, with an affordable price point starting from £1.49 and scaling up to £14.99 for the largest size.

Quality that doesn’t cost the earth

elho is widely recognised for its strong sustainability credentials, including B Corp certification, a product range made from 100% recycled plastics, and the use of on-site wind energy to help power production. Together, these commitments reflect the brand’s ongoing mission to create more environmentally responsible gardening solutions, with niva standing as a clear expression of that approach.

For comparison, terracotta clay pots - often chosen as a budget-friendly option - carry a higher environmental cost. The material is extracted from the earth and fired at high temperatures, resulting in significantly higher CO₂ emissions. In contrast, elho’s recycled plastic pots are typically produced with up to six times less CO₂ per product, offering a more climate-conscious alternative without compromising on design or performance.

Durability is another key distinction. Terracotta is porous and can absorb moisture, which may become trapped within the material. In freezing conditions, this moisture expands, increasing the risk of cracks and breakage.

Niva, however, is designed for year-round performance. Frost-resistant down to -20°C, it will not crack or deform in icy weather. It is also UV-resistant, helping to prevent fading or discolouration during strong summer sunlight.

The result is a pot that maintains its appearance and structure throughout the seasons, offering a reliable, stylish and sustainable alternative to more fragile materials.
