Focus SB 's sales and marketing manager, Steve Moss says: "We’re delighted that the Ambassador Wall Light won in this year’s awards with our first ever lighting design collaboration and a first SBID award win for Focus SB. The synergy between Focus SB and Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard for producing distinctive handcrafted bespoke design has resulted in a unique piece to complement our specialist hospitality range of products - there’s nothing else like it that’s been achieved in our industry. It’s fantastic news for all of us and we’re delighted that the skill involved in designing and making this striking lighting product has been recognised by the SBID technical panel of expert judges."
Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard's MD, Jeff Fuller comments: "Gwyn and I were proud and privileged to have been guests of Focus SB at the awards. The design collaboration journey has been fascinating and a constant learning curve. Winning for us, as a small company against larger well known lighting brands, was a genuine shock and for it to have been the 1st SBID award for Focus makes it extra special. I'm a big believer in strong, honest relationships built on integrity and trust (it's a bit cliché but so true) and everything Gwyn and I do is based on that very foundation which is why working with Focus SB's in-house technical expertise has been a great experience for us. It's fantastic to see this new hand finished product come to life designed to complement Focus SB's Ambassador range. We look forward to what 2025 holds for us."
