Your Old LEGO® Sets Could Be Worth Hundreds — Don’t Let Them Gather Dust, Turn Your Bricks into Cash with WeBuyBricks

In an era where sustainability and smart money choices go hand-in-hand, a surprising item is proving to be a goldmine in many UK households: second-hand LEGO® sets.

WeBuyBricks, a new UK-based service, is on a mission to rescue unwanted LEGO® from attics, cupboards, and landfills, putting it back into circulation and paying the public cash for their collections. Some families are discovering that their used bricks, especially those that have their boxes, are worth far more than they imagined.

• A used LEGO® Star Wars Millennium Falcon recently sold for over £650
• Retired LEGO® sets are fetching up to 4x their original price
• One WeBuyBricks seller made £900 from just three old sets
• The average customer earns nearly £80 simply by decluttering their kids’ rooms

“Most people have no idea their old LEGO® is worth anything,” says Ben Wadsworth, Marketing Manager for WeBuyBricks. “But the truth is, many pre-loved sets are increasing in value, and can earn you hundreds. Our service makes it fast and hassle-free to get a quote and sell.”

WeBuyBricks combines convenience with sustainability. Families simply upload details or photos of their LEGO® sets via the WeBuyBricks website. The company provides a quote, arranges free shipping, and pays out fast — all while ensuring each set is cleaned, sorted, and rehomed responsibly.

This year alone, WeBuyBricks has saved thousands of LEGO® sets from being binned, broken, or forgotten. And with over 8.5 million toys ending up in landfills each year, many made of plastic that can take up to 500 years to decompose, this service offers a smarter, greener alternative.

Why it matters:

• Environmental impact: Keeps plastic bricks out of landfill and in circulation
• Financial incentive: Unexpected windfall for families during a cost-of-living crisis
• Decluttering made easy: Clear out space, gain cash, and do good

About Webuybricks

At WeBuyBricks, we’re passionate about giving LEGO® bricks a second life. Based in Rossendale, Lancashire, we specialise in buying both complete LEGO® sets and LEGO® bricks by weight, making it easier than ever for you to sell your pre-loved bricks. Whether you have a full collection gathering dust or a box of loose pieces, we provide a seamless, hassle-free way to trade them in for cash.

Why we’re passionate about the used LEGO® brick market

LEGO® toys are incredible and timeless, but it’s also one of the most durable plastics out there. While this makes it a fantastic investment for play and creativity, it also means discarded LEGO® parts can sit in landfill for centuries. WeBuyBricks was founded with a mission to make the used LEGO® bricks market more accessible, sustainable, and rewarding for sellers and buyers alike!
