This past weekend witnessed an unparalleled celebration of the trading card community at the highly anticipated London Card Show, held at Sandown Park Racecourse.

From humble beginnings in 2021, which consisted of just 10 tables and 40 attendees, the London Card Show has grown exponentially over the course of 2 years, becoming both Europe’s largest trading card show and crowned UK Card Show of the year 2022 - 2023.

This weekend saw the 10th expo open to a bustling crowd of 4,000 guests, traversing 500 tables across a spectrum of cards on offer. From the mainstream Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Formula 1 to the niche UFC, Disney, and Marvel cards, the selection and collections catered to a wide variety of card lovers, whilst living up to its reputation; dazzling attendees with an array of activities and special features.

Headlined by the iconic Veronica Taylor, (voice of the famed Ash Ketchum of Pokémon) the weekend was filled with excitement and curiosity, as attendees participated in workshops, meet-and-greets, and live immersive experiences. The Kids Zone, curated for young enthusiasts, was abuzz with creativity, featuring engaging activities by internet card sensations PokeDean & PokiChloe, along with workshops by Topps, Ebay & Ace Grading, topped with exclusive trading opportunities only for kids and of course headlined by a special character workshop by Veronica Taylor.

The Main Stage offered a line-up from iconic brands and well-known online presences including ACE grading, Shelby on Safari and Professor Dan along with special events by TOPPS and ACE Grading added to the show's vibrancy. Whatnot brought the fun with a live streaming zone, and hosting the box break. The trading zone was a hub of activity, allowing enthusiasts to share, trade, and explore new and old cards. The Creator Studio provided a space for attendees to have fun, share photos on social media, and experience the virtual reality zone.

The rarest Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Sports cards, plushies, and specialised storage units were displayed for sale, along with more unusual items including 3D printed and hand-painted figurines, special hand-made Pokémon terrariums, and the first ever binder for collectable pins adding to the diverse offerings of the event.

This year's London Card Show marked its tenth edition and lived up to the expectations set by its predecessors.

Harry Reynolds, Founder & CEO of the London Card Show, and Katie Hughes, Director of Marketing & Operations, expressed their delight at the event's success.
