Staffordshire based consumer goods giant RKW, established in 1989 has over 40 jobs up for grabs after the recent acquisition of Swan Products LTD in July and the purchase of the Wade Ceramics brand earlier in the year.

Established in 1989, the family-owned business employs over 600 staff across its offices in the UK, Hong Kong, India and China and has a group turnover of over £200 million. The company designs, develops and distributes small domestic appliances and housewares for leading brands including Black and Decker, Lavazza, Morphy Richards, Tower, Smeg, Russell Hobbs and Breville. From its 750,000 sq. ft. distribution centre based in Stone products are sold to major UK retailers which include Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Argos, B&M, Currys, Very and Amazon.

Swan has a strong British Heritage dating back to the 1920s and has always been at the cutting edge of design innovation. The brand invented the first electric kettle in the 1930s and became the UK’s Number 1 Appliance Brand in 1968. Since then, it has continued its history of further innovations, captivating the hearts of the modern-day consumer with compelling kitchenware collections, iconic cookware and appliances that boast stylish design and offer outstanding performance.

Along with recent brand acquisitions, RKW is continuing to invest in its aggressive expansion into new overseas territories to develop its plethora of brands on a global stage. This is supported by a 10-million-pound investment into a digital transformation project to bring cutting-edge technologies and innovation strategies to the forefront of the business.

RKW Managing director and co-founder Rob Sutton said, “Now is an exciting time to join RKW. We are proud to have onboarded two new British heritage brands in the last four months one of which being Wade, a Stoke-on-Trent firm that we all know and love. I am from Stoke-on-Trent myself and I am fully aware of the fantastic talent we have in our city. I encourage anyone looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced and dynamic company to get in touch with our recruitment team who can provide further information on the roles we have available.”

The company is encouraging fresh talent from local universities to apply for the positions along with experienced candidates. There are vacancies across all departments within RKW including sales, marketing and design, buying, e-commerce, customer service and roles within its distribution centres.
