Quintessentially Italian experiences on offer

New imagery here
Cape of Senses, Lake Garda’s five-star, adults only spa hideaway, has released new imagery to celebrate a year since opening in July 2023.
Situated 200 metres above Lake Garda on the east side overlooking the picturesque village of Torri del Benaco, the hotel is an architectural triumph where its location takes centre stage. Designed by architects and interior designers, Hugo Demetz and Alessia Demetz together with owners Christian and Johannes Margesin, the hotel is characterised by its curved structure offering a lake panorama with all-aspect sunset views.
A celebration of its surroundings, the hotel is etched into the hillside terrain to create a seamless integration with nature, putting the spotlight on the natural landscape. Creating a connection between the architecture and interiors, floor-to-ceiling glass windows bring the Mediterranean scenery inside, complimented by soft colour palettes, warm lighting and contemporary, handcrafted furnishings. Key features range from private pools, jacuzzis and free-standing bathtubs to wellbeing rooms, sunbathing and lounge areas and rooftop terraces to gazebos for watching the sunset and sleeping under the stars.
The retreat offers year-round relaxation and regeneration, encouraging guests to slow down and reconnect with their senses in a tranquil setting. Combining simplistic elegance with traditional Italian flair, the family-owned property features 55 suites comprised of six suite options, where guests can expect spacious rooms with sophisticated design and modern details. All suites are orientated towards the view to continue the outside connection.
Guests are invited to unwind at the outdoor, private heated infinity pool and jacuzzi with full 180-degree views overlooking the lake, or venture inside to the connected indoor pool. While the 2,000sqm Senses Spa offers a holistic spa concept with an extensive range of facilities including pools, a sauna, a fitness area, treatment rooms and relaxation rooms. A variety of treatments use natural, sustainably-sourced products that are designed to engage the senses while encouraging long-lasting wellbeing. In-between treatments, guests will also be able to enjoy the spa library or take a stroll in the spa garden which includes a yoga platform.
There is a choice of two restaurants where guests can experience locally sourced Mediterranean cuisine, as well as a cocktail bar offering a variety of delicious cocktails with direct views of the lake. The first restaurant is the Osteria La Pergola, whilst the second is the lake-view Al Tramonto (translating to ‘at sunset’), named to pay homage to its privileged position on the lake. Cape of Senses was also awarded a Michelin Key in 2024.
Alternatively, guests are also able to enjoy breakfast at the rooftop garden or in the comfort of their own private suites. A lounge bar and bistro area serve light refreshments while post dining, guests can take a leisurely walk around the hotel’s gardens, taking in the aromatic scents of the Italian lemons and olive trees, which were taken from the existing land and replanted on the premises.
The lake hideaway also offers an extensive range of year-round, on-site activities and local experiences, available to book through the hotel’s concierge service. Guests can choose from a private dinner on a lake jetty or vineyard picnic to a private sailing tour or cooking school. Local tours to Verona (25 minutes away), Torri del Benaco, Garda, Venice and Milan are also available, plus activities including hiking tours, golf, yoga and meditation.
