The Bristol Vegan Fayre Spring edition comes around on Saturday March 30th from 11am - 6pm at Document and tickets are now on sale for the event priced at just £5 including booking fee.

The show sees a round 80 stalls and a live music stage with a full lineup of vegan musicians headlined by the immaculate Vegan Queen V, plus top-quality comedy with Tom Ward and Adele Cliff, and DJ's front of house including deep chill, happy house and ska/mod sets during the day.

“Bristol is the ideal place to stage a vegan event with music and comedy and of course, being our hometown, an absolutely unmissable date in the diary for us.”

'Bristol has such a thriving vegan community already and of course is known for being the friendliest city in the UK, it’s a fabulous place to hold a vegan event.

There's so many great independent traders in town, as well as being a hot bed of campaigning, activism and a keen sense of social justice amongst the Bristol people.”

Throw in a magnitude of plant based food options plus some uplifting talks and panels including Carla Denyer (Co Leader of The Green Party), and the show is set for a vibrant day full of colour, music, passion, good food and some fabulous independent traders and charities.

'Bristol is always full of fun and this spring we're thrilled to be bringing in a stage to the courtyard for live music with an eclectic lineup on stage for the day, and there's some dynamic talks taking place too with Tom Harris and his recently published book about the SHAC campaign, and Tom Pickering and the Running On Plants team, plus a panel of local activists and an introduction to local activism.

Add in the Art Exhibition with The Art of Compassion Project & and the Kids Area with Vegan Kids Fest and the multitude of awesome vegan food options on offer and it's an unmissable day for the vegan community, the vegan curious – and anyone who likes music, comedy and food!'

The show doesn't just attract vegans - around a third of attendees are not yet vegan and many report significantly good feedback about the show, with some pledging to go vegan after visiting and lots of visitors saying they'll be increasing their plant-based options.

'People love the show for the food, the music, the traders, the talks and the comedy, the overall festival vibe and the wealth of information and inspiration available, if you're not yet vegan it's hard not to be impressed with what's on offer. In many ways this is one big vegan outreach event!'

Bristol Vegan Fayre is looking to help inspire a number of new activists too with a focus on some excellent initiatives taking place in the area in the coming months, including the local Vegan Runners 20th anniversary celebrations, and a big gathering in the town centre on June 2nd - for National Animal Rights Day.

'We're looking forward to the activists panel and the introduction to local activism from half a dozen groups. Bristol is a hot bed of activism but always welcomes more people. Come and find out all about getting involved with local activists groups.'

As always though the food is the star of the show with a number of street food caterers joined by regional artisan plant-based producers and the event presents a most excellent opportunity to sample the delights of plant-based living, make no mistake.

Expect to see a number of further traders join the event and meanwhile feast your eyes on the event poster and check out the magnificence of food options before snapping up your tickets for the best food and music event this spring.

“Times have been hard recently but when the going gets tough, the tough turn pro as they say, and we are seeing some fantastic new vegan ventures springing up and growing into the blossoming plant-based market that is only going to get bigger.”

About VegfestUK

VegfestUK launched in 2003 in Bristol.

VegfestUK came into existence back in Bristol in 2003, with the launch of the Bristol Vegan Fayre – the first event of its kind to mix up veganism with rock-‘n-roll and a festival vibe. The success of the Bristol Vegan Fayre was the inspiration behind many of the vegan events in the UK since then, including our own further events in Brighton, Glasgow and London organised by our team.

This after the establishment of the UK’s biggest vegan events in Bristol (2003 – 2018), Brighton (2009 – 2019) and Glasgow (2015 – 2016), and the UK’s first vegan Trade Show in 2017. VegfestUK London returned to Olympia in the autumn of 2022.

VegfestUK London at Olympia Grand is the UK’s biggest indoor vegan event, featuring up to 400 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors over 2 days.

Additional comment:

“And we're back with not one but two events in Bristol this year, with a further event planned for the summer (August 24th) and extend a very warm welcome not only to the Bristol vegan community and extended region, however also to many people new to veganism and plant based diets, who might want to come along and dabble a bit and see what it's all about.

Last year 30% of our visitors were not yet vegan and almost all reported an uplifting experience after visiting the event - so come on down wherever you're at and we guarantee you'll leave feeling even better!”
