30 January 2025— The Conscious Travel Foundation today announces an exciting new partnership with ÀNI Private Resorts, marking a significant milestone as the first collaboration of its kind for the Foundation. The partnership celebrates shared values of philanthropy, inclusivity and community, and includes a 3-year sponsorship of the Foundation. Activity will include storytelling and brand ambassadorship, events and a content programme to amplify the partnership.
Philanthropy and Community Impact
Philanthropy is at the heart of the partnership. By channelling resources into local communities through their Art Academies, ÀNI empowers young talent and fosters creativity while providing tangible economic and educational benefits. The Conscious Travel Foundation, with its network of mentors and advocates, is dedicated to supporting grassroots projects with links to tourism that leave a positive legacy —a vision perfectly aligned with ÀNI’s ethos.
Commenting on the partnership, Yeshi Phuntsho, CEO of ÀNI Private Resorts said: “ I am pleased to announce our partnership with The Conscious Travel Foundation. ÀNI Private Resorts philanthropic endeavours have always been at the heart of everything we do and our commitments towards sustainability, conscious travel and uplifting local communities align perfectly with those of The Conscious Travel Foundation.
“It is our belief in people and giving back that helps guide us sustainably towards a better tomorrow.
"From prioritising local hiring at our resorts and supporting neighbourhood suppliers, to empowering and educating local talent through our non-profit ÀNI Art Academies program, we strive daily to make a positive impact on both society and in the lives of others.
“Over the coming years, we look forward to not only benefitting from the expertise of The Conscious Travel Foundation but also seeing first-hand how our patronage helps contribute towards a more sustainable global tourism industry.”
Accessibility and Inclusive Travel
Reflecting The Conscious Travel Foundation’s holistic approach to positive impact, inclusion is another shared commitment with ÀNI.
The Conscious Travel Foundation facilitated a trip for accessibility campaigner and TCTF mentor Sophie Morgan to the ÀNI Dominican Republic resort, to experience ÀNI’s inclusive design. The resort has been designed with step-free access and offers accessible rooms for guests with disabilities, designed to provide ample space for manoeuvrability and equipped with accessible features such as wider doorways and grab bars.
Looking Ahead
In March, Maudie Tomlinson and Olivia Cryer, co-founders of The Conscious Travel Foundation, will visit ÀNI Sri Lanka to engage directly with the Art Academies and explore other community-driven initiatives that demonstrate the resort’s commitment to social impact.
Olivia Cryer, co-founder of The Conscious Travel Foundation, said: "We are incredibly proud to partner with the team at ÀNI Private Resorts, whose values and ethos resonate deeply with our own. ÀNI’s support will enable us to continue to facilitate our annual programming for the wider travel industry, including our education and grantmaking programmes.
"This partnership marks a new chapter for The Conscious Travel Foundation as we continue to forge alliances that drive meaningful change in the travel industry.”
