·     Grass quality is visibly improved and is regularly complimented

·     Significant decrease in seedheads

·   Attraxor usage has helped save time and money on turf maintenance

A greenkeeper at a Somerset golf club has explained how using Attraxor has controlled Poa annua and improved grass quality – a difference so noticeable that many members have commented on it.

Max Smith, Head Greenkeeper at Brean Golf Club in Burnham-on-Sea explained that he is on his second year of using Attraxor, applying the product to the greens every 21 days between March and September.

The family-owned golf course, which has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, boasts a scenic 18-hole playing area nestled within the beautiful Somerset coastline. Brean Golf Club has a strategic course with numerous water hazards and small greens to overcome. Max has 5663 yards of course to maintain, especially during the spring and summer months.

Max said that the benefits of using Attraxor were quickly spotted: “Not only is the application of Attraxor very quick, but it doesn’t take long to see the results either. Within one or two days we had noticed the reduction of Poa annua seedheads and the lawn maintenance was reduced with less demand for cutting.”

Max then commented on the quality of the turf, saying: “Our members are always complimenting the condition of the greens since we started using Attraxor, the results are so clear and the grass condition is excellent with the sward being much tighter.”

Attraxor has been shown to effectively regulate growth of managed amenity turf. The active substance, Prohexaidone, inhibits the gibberellic acid pathway, which results in a reduction of turf height and turf biomass. Root growth is also promoted by Attraxor, while turf colour and quality are maintained.

Attraxor not only reduces clippings like other Plant Growth Regulators, but it also suppresses the seedheads of Poa annua so less labour is required.

Max said that, since using Attraxor, the time and money spent on turf maintenance has reduced significantly.

“The manpower and diesel is being utilised elsewhere which is making a massive difference - I am saving money and time, while giving a flawless finish.

“I think Attraxor is the product of the century, it is reasonably priced yet worth its weight in gold. I honestly believe that Attraxor is the best turfcare product in the field – I am so glad it was recommended to me!”
