Hillier has unveiled its new amenity website, showcasing its vast offering of field and container grown amenity trees.
Trees.hillier.co.uk has been introduced following last year’s successful launch of The Hillier Tree Guide. The enhanced online offering allows customers to browse an extensive image gallery, as well as view detailed information about the sizes and shapes of the trees grown, which can all be easily filtered based on the needs of each project. It also features advice and case studies of large-scale installations that Hillier has supplied trees to.
One of the key functions of the new website is the ability to create a wish list that can then be shared with customers and colleagues, or sent directly to Hillier to be contacted by a member of the team for a quote.
The Hillier Tree Guide, published in 2023, was the result of five years of in-depth research and expertise curated into a unique, comprehensive guide and is the first Hillier book to illustrate the development of a tree over 50 years. In creating the guide and information for the website, Hillier tracked over 200 trees through their lifespan which are all profiled on the website, along with informative descriptions, beautiful illustrations, and multiple colourful images for each tree. To further aid garden designers and landscapers, the website also demonstrates how the trees will adapt and grow over the years as each tree has its own set of helpful illustrative silhouettes which show its progression over 15, 25, and 50 years.
The website also includes inspirational advice covering topics such as shaped trees, feature trees, and elm trees. Advice on sustainable, long-term planning is also available, such as information on drought-resistant plants in response to rising temperatures and scorching summers, bee-friendly trees, and biodiversity with mixed avenues.
Adam Dunnett, amenity director at Hillier, commented: “Hillier has become renowned among landscaping professionals for our routinely updated informative tree guides. Last year’s edition was so well received that publishing it online with additional information felt a natural step to help customers browse and find the perfect tree for their landscaping projects.”
As the UK’s largest grower of semi-mature trees in the UK, Hillier has more than 155 years of horticultural passion and growing expertise with a focus on biosecurity, offering field grown, container trees, rootball and bare root trees giving customers the ultimate choice and flexibility.
