Geoff Francis is a writer, artist, filmmaker and long-time ethical entrepreneur whose work has spanned music, publishing, visual art, environmental campaigning and creative activism for more than five decades.
A lifelong advocate for compassion, creativity and social change, Geoff, a passionate vegan for 55 years, has been involved in a wide range of influential projects connected to animal welfare, the environment, music and the arts.
Early in his career he worked in social and environmental initiatives including projects linked to Friends of the Earth, before going on to build a successful chain of independent record stores in London’s West End, alongside opening a vegetarian restaurant in Baker Street during the 1970s.
Throughout the 1980s Geoff became increasingly involved in animal advocacy and ethical creative projects, working alongside names including Linda McCartney, Rita Tushingham, Carla Lane and Captain Sensible.
Geoff released and supported a number of music and awareness campaigns connected to animal rights and compassion-led causes, while continuing to develop his own creative voice as a writer and artist.
For over 35 years Geoff has worked full-time as an artist, author and filmmaker. His work explores humanity’s relationship with nature, emotion and “inevitable chance” - a phrase he uses to describe the intersection between instinct, feeling and creativity within his work.
His paintings and photography have attracted international interest and have twice been shortlisted in Saatchi Art showdowns.
Geoff is also the Creative Director of Bonobo TV, a not-for-profit online platform celebrating respect for the planet and all those who share it.
Today, Geoff continues to develop new creative collaborations spanning music, performance, spoken word and immersive live experiences, bringing together decades of artistic exploration with a deep commitment to compassion, connection and social reflection.
