  • A new survey reveals the traditional chalet market has declined by 25% as travellers favour luxury hotels*
  • This shift marks the emergence of a new era for the classic chalet - one that blends traditional lodge living with modern demands
  • Odles Lodge offers the privacy of an alpine chalet, with the facilities of neighbouring FORESTIS - the 5* mountain hotel

Seasoned skiers will be able to attest that, after a day on the pistes, returning to a traditional mountain chalet remains unmatched. Yet new research has found that the chalet market has declined by a staggering 25%* as demands have shifted towards hotel stays.

This transition heralds a new era for the classic chalet. On the southern slope of Plose Mountain in South Tyrol, Odles Lodge emerges as the best of both worlds, placing guests in a remote, serene setting while extending the world-class amenities of its sister - the five-star mountain hotel FORESTIS

Designed for longer, remote stays, Odles Lodge stands as a charming wooden chalet that elevates the art of chic, relaxed mountain living to another level. Made up of four distinct lodges, each is meticulously designed using local spruce and Swiss stone pine to reflect the character of South Tyrol’s original mountain huts, offering panoramic views of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.

Independent yet connected, the chalet benefits from 5-star services of the luxury hotel, while guaranteeing remote relaxation and complete privacy. Just a few kilometers apart, guests can reserve a table at the hotel’s restaurants, and enjoy a treatment in the main spa.

Alternatively, lodge guests can take advantage of the exclusive on-site spa featuring a communal swimming pool, steam room and sauna. The self-catering lodge also includes a fully equipped kitchen stocked with typical South Tyrolean specialties, with a fresh breakfast basket delivered each morning.

As with FORESTIS, sustainability remains at the core of Odles Lodge’s ethos. Many environmentally conscious initiatives have been implemented from the energy-efficient design elements to locally sourced materials and the use of 100% renewable energy, produced by the lodge’s own plant and wood heating system.

Whether it’s a remote stay in nature or merging tradition with modern luxury, FORESTIS Odles Lodge provides an idyllic base for mountain living, redefining alpine hospitality.

About Odles Lodge

Unveiled in 2023 by the five-star mountain retreat, FORESTIS, Odles Lodge is situated on the southern slope of the Plose Mountain in South Tyrol, just a few kilometers above FORESTIS. Featuring four distinct self-catering lodges, each is meticulously designed by Armin Sader of Assaggio Architects to reflect the character of South Tyrol’s original mountain huts. Using natural materials, the structure is formed of local spruce and Swiss stone pine, which frame the panoramic views of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. Created with longer stays and remote relaxation in mind, each lodge is stocked with typical South Tyrolean specialties such as homemade jams, juices, smoked ham, smoked fish, and dairy products from local farms. Every day, a fresh mountain breakfast is delivered to each lodge. The on-site spa is available exclusively to guests and includes a communal swimming pool, steam room, and sauna. Guests can also enjoy spa treatments at the main hotel and reserve a table in the restaurants. Like FORESTIS, sustainability remains at the core of Odles Lodge's ethos. Many environmentally conscious initiatives have been implemented, such as energy-efficient design elements, locally sourced materials, and the use of 100% renewable energy, produced by the lodge’s own plant and wood heating system.
