Nottingham Entrepreneur Tara Askham to Attend House of Lords for International Women’s Day

Nottingham-based finance educator and entrepreneur Tara Askham has been recognised as one of the UK’s most inspiring female business leaders and will be celebrated at the House of Lords on 7th March as part of the prestigious f: Entrepreneur #IAlso100 campaign ahead of International Women’s Day on 8th March.

The campaign, led by Small Business Britain, highlights exceptional female entrepreneurs who are making a significant impact in their industries while championing community and mentorship initiatives. Tara, founder of TKA Finance Training, was named among the top 100 female entrepreneurs of 2025 for her outstanding work in financial education and empowerment.

Tara’s business, TKA Finance Training, is dedicated to simplifying finance and accounting for entrepreneurs and business owners, breaking down barriers and enabling them to make confident financial decisions. Through her courses and training, she helps individuals understand essential concepts like profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, ensuring they can drive their businesses forward with clarity and confidence.

Beyond her business, Tara is a passionate advocate for mentoring and supporting fellow entrepreneurs. She actively volunteers with Santander Women in Business, UnLtd, and the Government’s Help to Grow Scheme with Enterprise Nation. She also serves as a funding panel member for NatWest Charity S&CC and contributes as a subject matter expert for global accountancy awarding bodies.

Speaking about the recognition, Tara said:
